Michael F. Crowley

President

Michael is President of 108 Securities Inc., which he founded in 2011, and Managing Partner of Cassandra Capital L.P., a private venture capital fund co-founded in 2007. With over 25 years of banking and investment experience, recently Michael has actively led clients through a variety of investment banking and venture capital mandates including private placements, divestitures, M&A, going public transactions, workouts and venture formations. He has extensive experience in CEO, CFO and Board governance roles which he has assumed in portfolio companies, serving as a director for portfolio private/public companies and two venture capital funds. 108 Securities Inc. is an OSC regulated and licensed Exempt Market Dealer under which Michael has earned the required compliance designations to operate this firm. Michael earned his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, received a BSc from Western University and an MBA from McMaster University.

Spyros P. Karellas

Spyros has over 35 years of experience in banking and financial advisory. He began his career with Canada Trust in 1989, and has worked for Midland Walwyn, Merrill Lynch and BMO Nesbitt Burns as a Financial Advisor managing investment portfolios for high-net-worth individuals, family trusts and private corporations. Spyros worked as an institutional equity salesperson for a well-known Toronto brokerage firm specializing in Renewable Energy, Technology, Oil & Gas, and Mining. His account coverage focused on Portfolio Managers, High Net Worth Investors and Family Offices across Canada and Europe. For the past 15-years Spyros has been the President and CEO of Pinnacle Capital Markets Ltd. an Investor Relations firm located in Toronto. Currently, he is the Founder and CEO of The Investors Coliseum a Digital Investor Relations firm and Digital Awareness platform. Spyros earned his Bachelor of Administrative Studies from York University, majoring in Accounting and Finance.

Jack Ajzenberg

Over the course of an impactful career, Jack engaged in activist and professional capacities for McGill University, YMYW-HA(Montreal), Canadian Jewish News, Allied Jewish Community Services (Montreal Federation) National Film Board of Canada, Hillel Foundation (Montreal) Council of Jewish Federations (Canadian Office), and the National Budgeting Conference of Canadian Jewry, Toronto Jewish Federation. Jack worked in finance at Midland Walwyn, Merrill Lynch Canada, and Nesbitt Burns-Bank of Montreal. He has produced several video series on health care and has ‘scribbled’ in fiction and non-fiction genres for his entire adult life. He is a Yeshiva graduate, attended McGill University and the New School for Social Research. He holds several Canadian Securities Institute advanced financial markets designations.

Peter received his BA in Economics from University of Toronto.

The latter was featured in Harvard professor David Maister’s award-winning business book ‘Strategy & the Fat Smoker.’ Jay brings to the 108 Securities team breadth and depth of experience across tech, consumer goods, automotive, retail, B2B, and pharmaceutical industries. Jay’s consumer, branding and business insights are essential in ensuring 108 Securities Clients and their products are correctly and competitively positioned for maximum growth.
